Arconic NDT Technician in Cleveland, Ohio

Arconic Cleveland Operations, an aerospace forging facility located at 1600 Harvard Ave. is seeking qualified NDT Technician candidates to join its Quality team. The NDT Technician reports directly to the location's Inspection Lead, and oversees a salaried NDT Level I Technician that is training to become a Level II. The incumbent should possess a Level II certification in UT and PT, and will be expected to obtain Level III certification.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as the location's Responsible Level III or complete required training and on the job experience necessary to become a Level III.
Oversee Calibration System of NDT equipment.
Create and Manage the NDT technique card and scan plan system. Monitor and track process and product control parameters for NDT related activities as a means to validate process reliability and capability
Manage the stamp control process. Strive to continually improve products and processes to enhance or exceed internal and external customer expectations
Conduct internal NDT process and system audits as scheduled including preparation of audit report, initiation of associated corrective actions, and maintenance of the audit files.
Review and manage customer NDT requirements and approvals.
Participate and lead training sessions in NDT related activities.
Participate in the corrective action response system through non-conformance evaluation, investigation, review, reporting responding to customers and internal follow up activities. Assist in the facilitation of CARs as necessary to insure timely root cause correction, verification of effectiveness and closure.
Minimum Years of Experience:
•Current Level III certification in UT and FP certification with ASNT/NAS 410 or other recognized NDE accreditation.
Minimum Education Required:
High School or GED
Minimum Travel Required:
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
•Current UT or FP Level II certification with ASNT/NAS 410 or other recognized NDE accreditation.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience as a USI Level II or FP Level II
•Minimum of 2 years of aluminum, titanium forging experience.
•The position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) Regulations, which requires U.S. Person status. ITAR defines U.S. Person as U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Refugee, or Political Asylee.
