Environmental Projects Developer

A-Gas is global experts in the supply and full lifecycle management of specialty chemicals and gasses, providing refrigerants, blowing agents, fire protection agents and carbon credit projects, around the world. A-Gas currently operates facilities on 5 continents.

Job Purpose

The Environmental Project Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the documentation and verification process required for Carbon Offset Projects. They will be a liaison between A-Gas Business Units to provide information and support as needed. The Environmental Project Developer will also have a key role in the growth of the Internet Buyback Program that will source eligible material. Collaborate with the Director of Environmental Services to increase the productivity and profitability of Environmental Services.

Primary Place of Work

A-Gas Bowling Green Office with travel to A-Gas sites, customer, supplier or other sites as required. This position may require about 20% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Customer Service, Buyback team members, Finance, and Operations through the entire Carbon Project Process.

  • Increase the communication and provide strategic planning to the "Get Gas" team.

  • Management and organization of all documentation required for each project while developing multiple projects at one time.

  • Create an Internet Buyback Program to supply a constant pipeline of incoming eligible material.

  • Lead the verification process and maintain the required timeframe. This will include, but not limited to, the documentation, site visits, and issue logs.

  • Constructive communication and collaboration with the Director of Environmental Services with respect to planning projects, realistic timeframes, areas of improvement, areas of growth.

  • Any other task as reasonably required

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Essential

  • Bachelor degree required with experience with project management, or 5+ years of relevant industry related experience in lieu of degree

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Ability to successfully manage several projects at once

  • Ability to take the initiative and complete tasks within specific timeframes

  • Desirable

  • Past experience in speciality chemical industry and/or HVAC
